Sun
Lizard Solar Air Shifter --
Assessing your building’s
suitability
We recommend that your building be insulated, reasonably
well sealed and energy efficient. The reason is that without
a means to holding the heat the Sun Lizard provides, energy
costs will still be high.
Solar Access – the PV panel powering the fans require
direct sunlight. You therefore need to locate the PV
panel in a place that gets sunlight for as much of the day
as possible. A north facing roof is best so the unit
can be laid flat.
Roof cavity – having a roof cavity makes the installation
easier. If there is no roof cavity then external ducting
and weatherproof covers are required. This may make the system
less effective or more expensive.
